FAQ · 07

Common questions.

Don’t see yours? Call 203‑297‑3865 — we’d rather just answer it.

What causes a compactor to stop working?

Most often: a tripped overload, a stuck limit switch, a sprung hopper door interlock, or low hydraulic fluid. We diagnose on-site and rebuild rather than replace whenever the math makes sense.

Do you repair hopper doors?

Yes — sprung hinges, broken self-closers, fusible links, gaskets, and full panel replacements. NYC fire-code compliant work, with documentation.

Do you service NYC apartment buildings?

Daily. We work with property managers, supers, co-ops, condos, and hotels across all five boroughs and the Connecticut metro.

Can I send photos before scheduling?

Please do. Email info@acsnyc.org or text the same number you call. Photos help us roll the right truck and parts the first time.

Do you offer preventive maintenance plans?

Yes. Quarterly or semi-annual visits with a written report you can hand to ownership. We’ll inspect, lubricate, tighten, and flag anything trending toward failure.

Are you licensed and insured?

Fully licensed and insured for work in New York and Connecticut. Certificates available on request for property managers and ownership groups.
